A strange yet wonderful year!
2020 has been a strange yet wonderful year that we will hardly forget. It locked us in our homes, changed our daily routine and in many cases caused pain, poverty and loneliness. But it also brought out “everyday” heroes, hopeful people who resist difficulties with strength, positive thinking and offering.
Life in the midst of a pandemic
Through all these difficulties, but also with a beacon of hope, Katheti set its own course with an unexpected result. It made the biggest opening in all of Greece since it was founded! Who expected that?
We’ve “filled” with people. Volunteers, locals and non-locals, who offer their knowledge, time and energy for the implementation of our projects and actions. This has strengthened our effort to help our fellow human beings, to promote our area and to contribute to its culture.
The painting workshop with students from many parts of Greece, the painting exhibition, the photographic calendar, as well as the e-library are just a few examples. We started the theatrical workshop for the documentation of the local area. We talked about local products, local producers, pioneering professionals, but also about the books that refer to the area, its writers, painters and photographers.
We “invested” in education with Greek language lessons, seminars, such as about Digital Marketing, as well as the “Life & Career” program, which includes Coaching and Career Guidance. We’ve presented local mentors talking about their profession and its secrets. And all this with internet as our tool, since “face to face” seems difficult nowadays.
It is not an exaggeration to say that we left behind a year that changed the world and few of us would like to remember. But there are some things worth remembering, that’s why we present to you in 2 minutes images, faces and events that marked the course of Katheti in 2020. After all, it was a strange yet wonderful year!
Thank you for being there.
And we keep going, because life is creative!
