Sport is an activity that develops body and mind equally. Through sport, our youth learn new skills and socialize, creating friendships and partnerships in an environment of healthy competition.
August 2023 was full of classical music on Poros, with important music events returning after quite some time.

“Odyssey’s” Katerina Sakelliou has been keeping us company with her blog “Katerina’s Kouzina” since October 2014. Now, six years later, Katheti selects and presents parts of two of her articles “Odyssey in times of Corona Part 1 and 2” in one article. We believe that the feelings and experiences it conveys are representative of the local communities’ feelings and experiences in these difficult circumstances.
Katheti visited the space of the association “Cultural Action of Troizina” at the Municipal Office of Troizina.
In the summer of 2020, we had a new, environmentally friendly arrival in our area. The arrival of the EcoCar in Galatas! Climate change calls for drastic changes to our habits, with the aim to reduce our ecological footprint. Darsinos Services and Ritsa Darsinou recognized this need and took action!
Summer on Poros, having changed a lot in some aspects, has remained the same in many others, and Poros is here to offer it to you again and again. So that, once more, the scent of pine and lemon blossom fill our memories.
Since 2013, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus and Islands has been organizing communicative actions and educational programs for the students of Poros and Troizinia-Methana. The art workshop “In the way of…” is part of the program “Vacation at the Museum”.
CITRONNE Gallery opens again this summer and welcomes you to Poros. This year, art historian and owner of the gallery Tatiana Spinari-Pollali opted to create a continuous with the exhibition “Inner Space”, which is presented at the Athens gallery. At the same time, she collaborates for the eighth consecutive year with the Antiquities Ephorate of West Attica, Piraeus and Islands at the Archaeological Museum of Poros. She co-curates the exhibition of Konstantinos Xenakis.
Poros, Troizinia and Methana are areas that were loved by artists. The local area has for many years been a source of inspiration for people of the arts. The area, however, hasn’t only harbored artists, it has given birth to many as well. As Katheti, we want to highlight the work and potentially create a network of the local artists, so we tried to document them, starting with visual artists.
Our library list now hosts a new tab with e-books and audio books available to you for free. The e-Library we collected is available here.
Katheti adjusted its schedule to the new circumstances due to Covid-19 and launched a new series of online programs. So, we created a Free Online Painting Workshop. As with the in person workshop, it is addressed to beginners.
