Katheti supports you to travel abroad

Katheti is glad to announce that it is now certified under the EU Program European Solidarity Corps (ESC, former EVS). This means that local youth is now provided with the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ volunteer programs abroad. Katheti supports you to travel abroad through the ESC. ESC’s objective is to provide youth with the opportunity to participate in various solidarity activities across the EU.

About the European Solidarity Corps

The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union task and aims to promote volunteering for young citizens. Member States are calling on those youth who wish to take part and travel mainly within the EU with the aim of providing support in the form of volunteering on various issues. Additionally, its goal is to provide experiences and opportunities for youth who want to help and develop skills.

Participation in the program lasts from 2 to 12 months. The exact duration varies according to the agreement signed, which is different in each case.

The service, through the European Youth Portal, supports in writing all sorts of questions about volunteering of ESC in 27 languages. Following an agreement to volunteer in another country, participants are informed of their duties and receive appropriate training and language support.

Young EU citizens and citizens of additional affiliated countries aged 18 to 30 years old can participate in the ESC. Volunteers taking part in an action are not paid for their work but, depending on the program, receive support covering travel expenses, accommodation, meals and medical insurance, as well as a small amount of money to cover their daily expenses.

Katheti and the European Solidarity Corps

According to its values, Katheti aims at enhancing youth personal development, professional prospects and social inclusion. With ESC, it wishes to mitigate social and other challenges through volunteerism, which Katheti promotes in all its activities.

The project is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme.
