For the movie KYUKA

Poros has been once again chosen as the location for a movie. The filming of the movie “KYUKA”, directed by Kostis Charamountanis and produced by Heretic production company, will begin In September. The production team puts out a casting call for people from the area. The casting will take place on August 28th and 29th at 7pm. The meeting will take place in the event hall of Syggrou building on Poros.

Men, women and children of all ages

The casting call is addressed to people who live on or near Poros and want to participate as supporting actors in the shooting of the film. No previous experience is needed. A fee is offered to the people who will participate. The shooting will take place from September 15^th until early October on Poros. The production crew will be on Poros on August 28 & 29 and can’t wait to meet you in person!

A few words about the film:

“KYUKA” is a story about reaching adulthood and family. Kyuka means holiday in Japanese. The context of the story is that summer has finally arrived and a family of three, a father with his twin adult children, travel on a sailboat to Poros for their summer vacation. The vacation is an initiative of the father, who wants to reunite them with the past.

During the holidays, Konstantinos and Elsa, the two siblings, in the post-adolescent stage of their lives, will decide to escape from their dominating father, because he will force them to reconnect and take revenge on their biological mother.

Katheti promotes the movie producation because participation in the shooting, in addition to a unique experience and a special memory, is an opportunity for the locals to creatively express themselves, and of course an opportunity to promote the area.

We support, as well as create, opportunities that strengthen the creativity of our community. Such examples are the theatrical seminar “From the tribes of the world to our ‘tribe’” the “Theater Documentation of Poros, Troizinia and Methana” workshop, the “Passage” theater play, the visual arts exhibition “Bridges” and the photo exhibition “Athlesis”.
