With our volunteers’ help, this school term, Katheti continues to offer free Greek language lessons for immigrants and children of immigrants. The lessons are targeted towards people that don’t speak Greek and have limited financial means.

Katheti gives students of all ages, from different countries (India and Venezuela already) and different cultural backgrounds, the opportunity to be more smoothly incorporated to the local society. This benefits both the students and the local community, and especially the school community.

All lessons are offered for free by Katheti, thanks to the support of Katheti’s volunteers Vicky Makridou, Maria Pateraki and Konstantina Christodoulou. The volunteers, in addition to the pleasure of giving back, acquire experience in teaching Greek as a foreign language and become familiarized with specially written for this purpose handbooks, such as KLIK sta ellinika and Επικοινωνήστε Ελληνικά.
