Children’s painting exhibition “Impressions”

5 November 25

When children paint, the world fills with colors that never fade! The children’s painting exhibition “Impressions” brings together different techniques, materials, and the personalities of the students in a shared space of creation. Each artwork is a small impression, a glimpse into the world, a trace of their personal journey. Participating with their works are Eleni Triviza, Nikolas Tzanetos, and Agapi Gkoritsa, under the guidance of visual artist and educator Mara Dimopoulou. The opening will take place on Saturday, September 20, at 8:00pm and the exhibition will be hosted on the first floor of Katheti until November 28. The general public and schools can visit the exhibition free of charge, by appointment, during Katheti’s opening hours. The exhibition is part of the Katheti Summer Arts 2025 cultural program.

“Impressions” are the first traces of a journey that is just beginning. They are the lines, colors, and shapes that reveal the freshness of a child’s perspective, the boldness of expression, and the freedom of imagination. Each work is a small world, a glimpse toward the future, a mark that will remain. The three young creators, guided by Mara Dimopoulou and through their own unique ways, leave their first mark on the world of art.

Participating Artists:

Eleni Triviza (11 years old, 6th Grade, Galata) expresses through theatricality and expressiveness her love for art and her dream of becoming an actress. Her images are full of vitality, like scenes ready to speak before our eyes.

Nikolas Tzanetos (16 years old, 2nd Year High School, Galata) explores painting with maturity and a clear vision, as a space for personal expression and self-discovery. Alongside his dream of becoming a physiotherapist, he finds in creation a path that combines care, patience, and strength.

Agapi Gkoritsa (11 years old, 6th Grade, Galata) takes us on a journey through the world of art with imagination and humor. Her perspective is playful yet bold, and her works reveal a deep desire to tell stories through images.
