6th Poros Handicraft Festival

13 July 24

The 6th Poros Handicraft Festival will take place on 13 and 14 July at Ermou pedestrian street in Poros. A rich two-day event full of art workshops, puppet theatre, fairy tales, music and flavours.
The festival will start on Saturday 13 July at 19:45, at the Exchange – Lending Library on the pedestrian street of Ermou, with the puppet theatre performance “The city that drove away the war”, by the group Paramythochora, based on the fairy tale by the award-winning author Antonis Papatheodoulou to music by Phoebos Delivorias. The performance is free of charge.
On Sunday 14 July at 11am, we are waiting for you at the Archaeological Museum of Poros, to enjoy the exhibition “In the way of Alexandra Athanasiadi” and to create our own sculptures with sea wood. Our guide for this activity is archaeologist Evi Pini. The entrance to the museum for this activity is free of charge.
On Sunday 14 July in the afternoon at 19:30, at the Exchange – Lending Library on the pedestrian street of Ermou, children will enjoy an interactive narration of the fairy tale “The Suitcase”, together with Anna Hanioti. At the end of the narration, we will enjoy beloved songs by Evilia Gion.

During the two-day Craft Festival, many Creative Workshops will take place in the pedestrian area, namely:
– Making Friendship Bracelets, together with Eleni Pavlou (Ergani).
– We will prepare and enjoy our own handmade biscuits, together with Nikos Kanatsidis (Pastry shop Glikisma).
– We weave on a loom, together with Eleni Pavlou
– We make our own cosmetics (for mothers), together with Zina
– We prepare our own soap bubbles
– We paint and decorate the pedestrian zone
– We create our own handmade book
And because the weather is warm, we treat ourselves to cool aromatic refreshments and delicious savoury treats prepared by “The Sokaki Canteen” and the “Glykisma” Pastry Shop.
A two-day event full of activities for children and adults. Participation is free of charge and no pre-booking is required.
We thank our sponsors and communication sponsors, as well as the municipality of Poros, who once again actively support this initiative.
