Katheti’s lending library-reading space
From January 2020, a lending library-reading space will operate at Katheti. Katheti’s lending library-reading space will include classic literature books for children, adolescents and adults, as well as books about the local history and nature, await for you. You can read them in the warm space of Katheti or at home, whenever you like.

Book-lovers, are you looking for classic books that you don’t have in your library and you would like to read? Do you want to share your love for reading with other people and exchange preferences and ideas for new literary travels? Are you just looking for a warm place to drink your hot or cold beverage enjoying your beloved habit?
Children, would you like to get lost in the magic of a fascinating book? To identify with heroes and heroines just like you or a bit different, to experience adventures and let your imagination travel to distant places and times? To enhance your language skills in an interesting and easy way?
Parents, do you love reading and want to pass your beloved habit down to your own children? Are you looking for classic books, that your childhood is linked with, in order to “introduce” them to your children? Do you just want to offer them an alternative form of leisure activity as well as language training?
Teachers, are you looking for material for your lessons? Are you searching for texts, ideas, alternative forms of transmitting knowledge to your students? Are you just bookworms yourselves?
If you belong to any of the groups above, Katheti’s lending library-reading space awaits for you! Even if you haven’t yet been “addicted” to the miracle that is called a book, however, think about it: maybe it’s the best gift you could give to yourself.
Katheti’s lending library-reading space will link its operation with many events and activities: Reading Group, local history workshops, story-telling, book presentations, volunteer readings to people with sight difficulties, etc. Bring your own ideas as well!

Record of Kontantinos Logothetis Douzinas 1803-1830: A Contribution to Poros Island History
From Katheti’s library you can also acquire for free the exceptionally interesting for the local history book “The Record of Kontantinos Logothetis Douzinas 1803-1830: A Contribution to Poros Island History“ by Kostas Douzinas. The book was presented on August 29th 2019 at the Poros Navy Training Center, where many copies where given away by the author. For those that didn’t manage to acquire a copy, the Poros Public Library and of course Katheti have been appointed points of distribution!
