After the seminar for the section “Gender Identities” of the Thematic Week on 27/2 (more here), the “School of Educators” by Katheti offers one more free experiential seminar about the Thematic Week, this time focusing on the section “Addictions”, on Wednesday, 27/3, at 2:30 pm. The volunteer Maria Pateraki, educator at the Junior High School of Galatas, will be the trainer of this seminar, which will be carried out in the framework of peer-to-peer education. For two hours, activities will be presented and experiential exercises relevant to addictions’ background will take place.

Maria Pateraki has been working as an educator since 2004 and since 2016 she has been the coordinator of the Thematic Week Programme at the Junior High School of Galatas. In the first year of the introduction of the Thematic Week at schools, she organised a training seminar for parents and guardians in relation to the Addictions and Gender Identities sections of the Thematic Week in collaboration with the Parents and Guardians Association. She has translated and designed educational materials relevant to gender identities which have been approved by the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Educational Policy.
