Last year’s vocal ensemble workshop gave us many moments of joy, harmonious cooperation and of course a touching concert with beloved songs. So it is with great enthusiasm that we announce Katheti’s “Vocal Ensemble Workshop 2023-2024”! We invite all those who love singing to the hospitable space of Katheti in Pounta Poros for an introductory meeting, which will take place on October 11, at 8:00 pm. We are waiting for you to discuss the workshop program and details.

Katheti’s Vocal Ensemble Workshop is offered by Sofia Zarani. Participants will work on their body and voice, and will study musical repertoire, having as a goal specific live events throughout the year.

During the 2022-2023 Vocal Ensemble Workshop, we worked on the play “Παραμύθι χωρίς όνομα” (A Tale Without a Name) by Iakovos Kampanellis and presented our work with great success on 24 June 2023, at the open theatre of Syggrou.

The collaboration

Sofia Zarani is a qualified musician, specializing in classical and modern singing. She is a graduate of the F. Nakas Conservatory and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She has sung in operatic plays, recitals and other concerts in Greece and abroad. She has collaborated with composers and poets in new music projects and participated vocally in the discography of many artists. For the last 10 years, she has taught music theory and singing in public and private schools in London and to adults. Since her return to Greece, she has been teaching οn Poros island and works for Katheti, as the head of the choral workshop and coordinates cultural events and other programs.
