A music workshop for a group of beginners, carried out in three steps: listening, analysis/discussion, and composing. In the weekly sessions with the composer Yiannis Loukos, we listen to music of our choice, we exchange views on it, we get to know how it was made and we composed music. Through this process, we train the hearing part of our brain and we (re-)learn how to listen to music, to sounds which surround us, but also to people around us.

Yiannis Loukos, a composer and pianist, works on different music fields, from film scores and theatre music to avant-garde music and sound installations. Also, he works in musical education and he is particularly interested in alternative choir music. Since 2015 he has been a coordinator for musical innovation at Argiri Laimou Private School, he collaborates with El Sistema Greece and he has taken part in various educational programmes.
