Christmas is approaching, a time full of love, symbolism, hope and joy. A celebration full of emotions, with special meaning for all of us, and especially for children. How about this year we celebrate it giving our own creative note? What’s more beautiful than a Christmas tree with handmade Christmas decorations, or a handmade gift! Come to the Christmas Ornaments Workshop organized by Katheti, so we can create together and have fun! The workshop will take place on Sunday, December 5th at the Douzinas building on Poros (next to Cine Diana). We will be waiting for you there from 11:00 to 15:00. Come to learn how to make ornaments with different techniques and take with you your most favorite ornament when you leave. The participation fee is €2 for each child.

Imaginative creations 

In the Christmas Ornaments Workshop, we will get ideas for original and impressive crafts, which we can make easily and quickly. The crafts will be made with simple materials, such as sea wood, pieces of glass rounded from the sea, pebbles, rope, fabric, which will already be in the workshop’s space. Eleni Pavlou from “Ergani Weaving” and Antonis Panou from “Paraschinion” will be there to give us ideas and help us with our crafts. Anouk Kouvara-Brinkerink will help us make Christmas cards and Mara Dimopoulou will paint and make collages with us. In the workshop, apart from the ornament we will choose to take and from what we will make, we can get ornaments for our home with a small financial support to Katheti.

What we will learn at the Christmas Ornaments Workshop can inspire us to do even more crafts at home, spending quality time with our family. Katheti invites you to enjoy some physical and mental rest, relax and have a nice time using only your imagination and simple materials that we are all surrounded by. So, our Christmas decorations and gifts will acquire a special value, because they will have something of our personality and will have been created from the heart. This year, let’s put our own signature on the magic of the holidays.

The workshop will be held outdoors or if the weather does not allow it indoors with all the doors open. There will be four benches. One for each construction category. For safety reasons, children should have a mask and a self-test.
