Dancing is the order of this week on our island. From the Latin dances, we move on to Greek traditional ones, on Friday, August 4^th at 9pm, at the open theatre of Syggrou. The event is part of Poros Arts Festival, the co-organization of which was entrusted this year to Katheti by the Municipality of Poros.

The Cultural Association of Galatas “Friends of Tradition” will present a musical and dance journey with traditional dances from the beautiful islands of Greece: From Rhodes, Ikaria, Samos, Amorgos, Naxos and Mykonos to Crete and Kefalonia. The Association will participate with three sections, two children’s and one teenage section. Dances will also be presented by the Poros Nautical Club’s dance school.

In the past, Katheti has organized photography and painting exhibitions, theater workshops and seminars, painting workshops, theatrical performances, book presentations, and music events. Some of the activities of the last years are those that we achieved in 2021 and 2022, giving us the experience and impetus to continue even more dynamically this year as organizers of the Poros Arts Festival.

In all this year’s Poros Arts Festival events, money is collected to support little Valeria.
