Troiziniakos Sports Club

Sport is an activity that develops body and mind equally. Through sport, our youth learn new skills and socialize, creating friendships and partnerships in an environment of healthy competition. These are the principles espoused by Troiziniakos Sports Club and this is one of the reasons why Katheti decided to make a donation to dress the athletes of the football team for the 2023-2024 season. Katheti donated the sports uniforms and backpacks, covering the needs of the academies and the first team.
Troiziniakos Sports Club was founded in 1931 by people who lived in Galatas and loved football. A special moment for the club was the construction of the football pitch in 1965, in which many villagers helped by offering what they could in money and personal work. The team, for the first time, won the Championship and the Argolida Cup in 2004. More recently, in 2013, they once more won the local championship, after a successful year.
One of the main goals of the Club is the harmonious integration of children and youth in society. The current football academy of Troiziniakos, called Theseus, has about 90 children, aged 5-17 years old. The primary goal of the academy is to promote footballers to the first teams so that they can be competitive in the leagues they participate in. The second, but equally important, objective of the academy is to develop players who can deliver on the professional level. The good work done at the academy is demonstrated by the participation of players in the national team squads, as well as in the national league and championships. At the same time, in recent years, the football club, through partnerships, has managed to organize successful football tournaments.
Katheti supports sports and youth in our region with various actions. In the past, we have organized a sports psychology seminar for athletes and coaches, as well as the “Athlesis” photography exhibition, while it participated in the Porosea 2022 race with its own team of athletes. This year, Katheti is media sponsor of the mountain running race that will take place in Methana on 18-19 November 2023, under the name “The Goat of Methana“. At the same time, Katheti has in the past supported local education through the donation of technological equipment to schools.
